CASTLEVANIA CHEATS

The bottom is a list of Game Genie codes for just about all the CastleVania games. The codes listed for CastleVania: Symphony of the Night, however, are Game Shark codes.


For anyone running Emulated games, you should be aware that SNES9x, Nesticle, Genecyst, and Virtual Gameboy (to name only a few) all have built-in Game Genie support. Refer to their text files and/or help info.


CASTLEVANIA ( 1987, NES )

OXNGLZVK = Infinite lives

WEOGOPIE = Start with 42 hearts, the first heart that you get takes it up to 99

EYNKXPGA + EYNGSAGA = 238 lives

AANGSAGE + AANKXPGE = Start with 8 lives

ASOGOPIA = Start with 80 power hearts

AXOGOPIE = Start with 40 power hearts

GZOGYUSE = Keep weapons after losing a life

KXESUZKA + KZSSEZKA = Weapons don
t use power hearts

PANGSAGA + PANKXPGA = Start with 1 life

SXXXYAAX = Infinite time

ZEUTAYAA = Gain rapid fire shots on weapon pick-up

CASTLEVANIA III : DRACULA’S CURSE ( 1990, NES )

SXGAEK = Invincibility - works for all four characters; you can still die from falls or from touching spikes (Warning: the game will crash when you fight the Leviathan Gargoyle. If you're using an emulator, toggle the code off; in a normal game, reset and use a password, if you have one. I won't go into the math; apparently one of the numbers interferes with a calculation used for the boss fight, and as a result... boom. It causes no other problems in the game. Hopefully I can debug or otherwise modify it soon).

SXPAOO = Infinite Lives

SXYAPO = Infinite time, good only for a high score at the end of the Level

VNLZPA = Try walking, and you can
t always get things

VPLLTG = Whip hits any thing that is up to eight blocks away from you, even behind you.

SOTLYK = Takes twice as many hits for enemies, not bosses.

NYGPZA = Start with 10 lives without the HELP ME password.

SXIAOO = Less time (it looks like there is more, but there is actually less)

SXPAKO = The background is very different.

VOYOKN = Small hearts don
t fall down or go away.

OX = Sacred Water

SZIAPS = Changes background palette (red areas become blue, etc.)

SXPAPO = Changes background music; high tones are removed, so the music sounds very evil

SZZAPX = The BGM becomes painfully atonal and discordant, as in a horror movie

SXTAOV = Mutes almost all sound effects; some power-ups, such as the knife, will stay onscreen even after you’ve grabbed them until you find another power-up

SZYAPV = Affects the game’s scrolling; you will be forced around on the screen - makes the game near impossible (or more likely, impossible period)

SZGAPK = Creates invisible health hazards which you can’t see; one hit and you’re dead
